Willow came back to us in August 2018, just as she was supposed to when her home could no longer care for her. As fate would have it, I didn't have anything out of Oliver in our breeding program and here she was, the pick of her litter, barking and stamping her feet at me just like her mother does. Going from the only house pet to one of many spoiled rotten dogs and now also expected to have a job on top of it was a huge adjustment. At first I would not bathem, groom and show her all within 24 hours time, it was too much and I did not want to have her hate her new life. Quickly however, she came to run to the garage door when she saw me getting ready for a show, eager to go earn her cookies. When it was time to go chase her majors I entered her in our double-header weekend specialties in March in hopes to pick up at least one. She won both her majors that weekend out of bred by exhibitor, and showed like a pro (or perhaps more accurately, her mother.)

Willow G. Woofles as she's called (the G is for Gertrude according to my husband, but she doesn't like it so shortens it to the initial!), is now well ensconced into our home. She prefers to curl up with her mother in a shared dog bed next to me, if not curled up on the bed itself. She's our barker and there are regular warnings "do you want your collar?" despite the fact we've never gone to get new batteries for it. She's a wonderful girl and we're glad to have her back with us, for the remainder of her natural life.
