OFA Good, Elbows Normal

Oh Echo. This was the puppy I didn't want to let go even though I really didn't need him. Orginally I had planned to keep a male from the repeat breeding of Melanie and Merlin but because I had "sold" Mini to my then-boyfriend, and then married him, I did not need Echo when he came along. Instead I gave him to a dear friend but he just didn't display the independence needed for competitive field trials and so at a year old he came back. I tried to place him with a new home but he did not fare well at all, but was back to his normal self the moment my husband brought him back home declaring "he's not leaving again". I may not need him but boy did my heart want him and the Fates were determined my heart get what it wanted.

Echo has been slow to mature but you get that sometimes with males. As time goes by he is filling out beautifully and his confidence is growing. He gets along with his father and our resident I-don't-like-juvenile-males dog (another sign, perhaps?) and I often have the three of them in one group snuggle in my arms. He surprised me by taking his first major at a specialty I only entered him in figured he had to start learning sometime! He finished his championship in style, beating out multiple champions and making me one very proud breeder-owner-handler!
