Merlin is one special boy. Out of my Isabella, he didn't show how nice he would become until later on. He lagged behind the other pups, but when the time to choose came around he'd surpassed them all in what I was looking for. He is a perfect mix of his parents and his personality is to die for! Confident, sweet, snuggly and wanting to please, what else could you want?

Merlin wasn't supposed to be Merlin, but everyone loved his puppy name so I never had the chance to change it. It fits him though, a strong name with a bit of flare to it. Merlin finished his show championship with four majors out of the bred by exhibitor class, finishing at Northern New England Brittany Club's spring specialty in March 2013. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine he'd command the ring like he did the last few times he stepped into the ring. In fact, the last three times he stepped into the ring he won, back to back to back majors. Merlin never ceases to surprise me what he can do when he puts his mind to it. Our next adventure is to work toward a field championship, also owner-breeder-handled. He impresses with how biddable he is and his desire in the field, even when he comes up short. We are very lucky to have the support of his father's owners, and extended Brittany family. He's a charmer who definitely puts a spell on whomever meets him!

Merlin's matured beyond my wildest expectations, I call him my "time machine" because he looks like a lot of the old dogs now long gone. He's a close working gundog in the field, but not underfoot at all. His movement is just like his mother's and well, I could go on forever about the things about my boy I love! I am enjoying every moment with him.
